Description
Relipoietin 40,000 IU contains recombinant human erythropoietin (epoetin alfa). It is an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) that helps stimulate the bone marrow to produce red blood cells. The 40,000 IU strength is available as a pre-filled syringe.
Uses
Relipoietin 40,000 IU may be prescribed for anemia associated with:
Chronic kidney disease
Chemotherapy in cancer patients
Certain cases of anemia related to HIV treatment
Reducing the need for blood transfusion in selected surgical patients.
